Evening boat cruise in Paris

I've seen a few posts on here about what is offered in these packages and which show is better but I've not noticed anything saying whether the cruise is worth it. I'm visiting Paris alone and really don't have any evening plans. Would this be a fun way to enjoy Paris one night? Thanks!

The Bateaux Mouche is very touristy, very crowded...and shouldn't be missed.

Paris is beautiful at night and most of the major buildings are lit.

I did it one night during my second trip to Paris many years ago. I, too, was alone, and found it an enjoyable way to spend the evening. On my walk back to my hotel, I stopped and got a chocolate crepe at a sidewalk cart.

That was 15 years ago and I still remember it.

I prefer the Vedettes du Pont Nuef - smaller than the Bateaux Mouches. You can either sit in the enclosure and listen to the guide, or you can sit outside, which I prefer. The cruise is €11, but if you book online you save €4.

Amanda - for me, this is a "must do" every trip. Both lines are fine - I spend the entire time on deck taking pictures. My last trip was Oct 07 - it started raining the minute the boat left the dock, regardless, those pictures are some of my favorites. The lights shining on the bridges are beautiful. My suggestion is to go early evening and be on the boat when it gets dark. The Eiffel Tower looks fabulous (of course!) and you get a really unique view of Notre Dame. Don't miss it.

My friends and I did a late nite ride after 11pm if I recall on Bateau Parisienne for 12 euro each. Leaves from Tour Eiffel. Boat was nearly empty.
Every seat has its own speaker that explains the ponts and buildings in one of 4 languages. Absolutely gorgeous in the evening with the ponts and the history explained. Highlight: seeing the full moon rise over Notre Dame!

Thanks for all the tips; I checked out the suggested tours. I'm going to try a dinner cruise with Bateaux Parisiens. Thanks again everyone.
