Does anyone know where we can get a travel guide for the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers?
I was given one by a fellow traveler on my Danube cruise. He said that his travel agent gave two to them for his wife and himself. It was very helpful and had information on all of our stops on the Danube. Maybe amazon.com might sell one. Good luck.
Here's a website that has a map of the rivers showing the cities along them. http://www.europeanrivercruises.com/european_river_maps.cfm You could go to your local library and check out a travel guide and look at those cities. I've never seen a river specific travel guide.
This might be a bit out of date, but it may be along the lines of what you're looking for: http://www.amazon.com/Great-River-Cruises-Europe-Insight/dp/9812583971/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1316363010&sr=1-1
There's Viking river cruises, Arosa river cruises, CroisiEurope etc. etc. The good thing is: There is an association representing all of them and their website is a pretty good start into the matter: www.IGrivercruise.com
