If I buy 8 day 3 country can I select Germany, Benelux, Switzerland even though I plan to validate starting from Lux to Zurich and finish Lux to Duesseldorf?

I thought I did compare. If we land in Duesseldorf and catch a train to Lux, pick up our daughter then validate Select Saver pass (8 day 3 Countries) starting with Lux to Zurich, Zurich to Interlaken, Interlaken to Zermatt, Zermatt to Geneva, Geneva to Zurich, Zurich to Duesseldorf. Isn't the Select Saver still the best price. If not what would be a better option? WIll the Select Saver work for the trip I outlined above?

If you book well in advance (up to 92 days allowed) on the German Rail site, www.bahn.de, you can get saver fares as low as 19 EUR for Duesseldorf-Luxembourg and 39 EUR for Zuerich-Duesseldorf. Those tickets are for a specific departure date and and time and have restrictions on when they can be exchanged. If you book a saver fare for Duesseldorf-Luxembourg, be sure to allow extra connection time between your flight's scheduled arrival and your train's scheduled departure.
The cheapest saver fares sell out fast so book ASAP. Go to bahn.de and click on the drop-down flag menu for English.
For travel within Switzerland your best deal probably will be Swiss Cards. See here.
