Does anyone have any hotel/B&B recommendations in Etratat, Honfluer and Rouen France? We will be traveling there from Paris for 3 days. Any help would be great!
We had lunch at an interesting hotel in Etretat several years ago but cannot remember the name of it. There did not appear to be many hotels there--it is a small town and very untouristy and charming. You should google for hotels or B&B's and may get results. Have a great time in Normandy!
In Rouen, Hotel de Carmes www.hoteldescarmes.com/ . Great location by Cathedral. Charming and cheap, esp if you don't mind climbing stairs becuase we paid 49 euro a night last fall for a room on the top floor. Breakfast was extra (maybe 7 or 8 euro) but tasty.
Have a great trip!
For Rouen, the Hotel de la Cathedrale is where we stayed once. Can recommend it and it is (as you would suspect) right across the road from the cathedral.
In Honfleur try Hotel Etap. Online reservations and low cost, very central in Honfleur.
There is a nice "Hotel des Charmes" in Honfleur called Hotel des Loges. Small but modern rooms and the owner, Catherine, speaks excellent English.
In Rouen, as another poster said, the Mercure Rouen Cathedral is very nice, with updated rooms and facilities and a very friendly and helpful staff. Getting there by car is tricky, so take GPS if you can. There is parking underneath the hotel for 12 Euro per day.
We will be staying in Honfleur next month. I found a B&B for 75 Euros that looks perfect -- [email protected]. After I booked it I noticed it is in Rick Steves video on Normandy.
