EiffleTower

We will be in Paris in July and have pre purchased tickets for the Eiffle Tower. I'm wondering how long it takes from start to finish if we go to the top and spend a normal amount of time. I would like to know how to schedule other things around it!

really depends. just up and down with a couple of photos. yes probably one hour. stop for a drink and maybe a snack. one to two hours. take your time. when will you be back on the tower? have fun, be safe.

I agree with the previous poster...how many times will you be back? Take your time. Also, going to the top, in my opinion, is overkill. You get the best overall views, photos, etc. from the second level. Plus, you have to pay more and get on a second elevator to go on to the top, so check your ticket that you purchased. Also, try to go in the early evening, so you can also see it both in daylight, and then see it light up after dark. Try to be there on the hour when they light up the "sparkle" effect for five minutes. (although "after dark" in June was 10:00pm!) And if you're there that late, be aware that most the buses stop running around 9:30 or so, so be ready to take the metro! (which worked fine with us, even at midnight!) Also, just a word: even though you have a prepaid ticket, you will still have to go through a security line. Mostly, just relax and let yourself enjoy it!

Huge "it depends" because you can't avoid the line on the 2nd floor that you need to get in to take the elevator to the top. If it's a clear day when every other tourist is wanting to go to the top, you could be in for a couple hours just to take a few pictures and come back down.

Where did you get tickets? I thought that you can't pre-purchase Eiffel Tower tickets. What level are they for?
