I heard the Eiffel Tower either will be or is undergoing repair work. Anyone have current information on condition is it under tarp wrap (the ugly green wrap)? Leaving for Paris Oct 21st

As of 9/20/08 when we were there, the Eiffel Tower was fine, although they were doing digging in about a 10 foot square section in the cement area under the tower (didn't impact anything though). There definitely wasn't any kind of tarp or wrap. It is beautiful!!

We were there last Friday [26 Sept] Nothing going on on the actual tower. Line up at 1530 hrs Friday afternoon was only about 15 minutes though the signs said 45 mins.

I hope not. My daughter and I are going in Nov. I've been watching the web cams and it looks good to me.
