Hi! I was lucky enough to get a ticket to the Eiffel tower at 8pm. I was also hoping to do the dinner at the 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant. They have 9pm reservation. I am wondering if 1 hour is enough time. We are also hoping to catch a show at 11pm. Is this too much stuff in too little time?
You're fine on the first interval. The chances of eating and getting somewhere to a show in two hours are slim. Ex: it's a ten-minute walk from the base of the tower to the nearest metro station, the metro ride to Pigalle or Cite is close to thirty minutes, and the show's probably not right at the metro exit. That means you've got to eat in an hour and a half if everything is perfect - - it'll never happen.
Thanks!!!! Do you know if you have to have a reservation for the champagne bar?
If you're talking about that little closet at the top that sells wine and stuff, there ain't even a place to sit - - you just walk up to a half-door and pay some ungodly amount of money for a glass of champagne (ten or fifteen euro, maybe). Obviously I've never done it, but I bet I'm close.
There is a menu somewhere online for the champane bar, and Ed is correct, the prices for a glass start at 10 euros! If your dinner is at 9 , a show at 11 would be difficult to impossible,, service is never fast in France,, and frankly why rush off , enjoy the Tower..
