I just tried to buy Eiffel Tower tickets for September, but received a notice that the sales office is not open until June. Am I doing this right? Thanks, Judy
Yes. Tickets are only available approximately 2 months (maybe less) in advance. They seem to release tickets for sale in month-long blocks. It should give you the date that tickets will be available. That date was accurate for me. I watched the ticket availability like a hawk because we are on a tight schedule when in Paris and needed tickets within a certain window. With the time zone difference, whatever time they said tickets would be available translated to 5:00 pm my time, and when I checked at 2:00, they could not be bought. But at 5:05, sure enough, I got tickets. Two days later, all but 4 or 5 entry times were already sold out. I would recommend setting an alert on your computer calendar or phone so something will remind you when to buy them. June is a ways off and I would forget when exactly I needed to get them.
Stacy is right. And I'd really stress her point to watch the ticket sales closely, the day I wanted sold out in 2 days (I had NO idea it would be that fast!) so I had to purchase tickets for another day for this June.
Tickets go on sale two months ahead, at 12am Paris time. Be sure to mark your calendar! If all else fails I know you can get tickets through tour groups or make a reservation for the restaurant which I believe gives you access to at least the second level.
I am glad I saw your post Judy- and the replies. Our family of 4 is going the last week of June - The last day of our trip is June 27 - those tickets went on sale March 29 at oo:00 or March 28 7PM New York time . Perhaps because I was trying for 4 people- there were no tickets available for the earlier part of our stay.
So - tickets went on sale 3 months in advance - was able to get the ones I wanted at 7:01 PM NY time.
Even if they sell out I would check often. When I first tried to get tickets for the Eiffel Tower I checked every date and time slot and they were all sold out. I periodically kept checking and finally two tickets opened. So, I'm telling you this to let you know that even if it's sold out, keep checking and you just may get tickets. Good Luck!
Yes, keep checking. I just did the same as Mari and got tickets I wanted for 2nd week in June that had been shown as sold out last week. Good luck
