We want to visit the Eiffel Tower May 22-24. Online tickets are sold out. Tours cost 3X regular price (abour 45 euros) Any cheaper ways to get on the tower without waiting in line for 2+ hours? Anyplace else to buy tickets that is cheaper? We've read Ricks' discussion. We want to go early evening. Any other ideas to guarantee access? Thanks.

I am not sure about tours, but when I ordered my tickets I initially found that all of the tickets had been sold out. But I kept checking and a few days later I was able to get the tickets I wanted. Hope this helps.
