It appears that the economy reservation limits carry on baggage to 13 pounds, while first class can carry on 35 pounds. This restriction in effect means than no one in economy can carry on their luggage if they only have one bag. Has anyone out there had a similar experience with Virgin Atlantic? I am surprised. I expected to be able to carry on one rolling backpack. I bought a back pack from RICK STEVES that weighs 7 pounds. With my computer, I will have no room for clothes, in terms of the 13 pound weight restriction. Does anyone out there have a similar experience with Virgin Atlantic?

Thanks.
When I checked this morning, it appears the webmaster deleted the redundant post.
So nice to hear from you.

General views are that the European airlines are the exact opposite of the American and they actually ENFORCE thier carryon rules. (I am typing this from a Delta flight where I saw every third passenger carry on 3 things because "the rules don't apply to me" :))
Thanks, Carol.
I called the customer relations line twice, and spoke to two separate people in Bombay--what the speaker called where he was located, and they told me essentially the same thing.
