Easy Jet - travel from Paris to Nice

Has anyone used Easy Jet? We are looking at a round trip flight from Paris to Nice during March. If we travel with one carry-on and a small flight bag, can we expect additional charges on this flight? Has anyone booked Easy Jet flights on-line, and had any difficulties?

We flew Easy Jet in May 2009 from Paris to Pisa and had no difficulties at all with booking on-line. I agree with Steve...read all the fine print to make sure you don't get any surprise fees.

Also, we did the leg from Nice to Paris via train and it was a great way to see the countryside. I think the trip took around 5 1/2 hours.

If you decide to take the train one way, be sure to book well in advance (up to three months allowed) at www.tgv-europe.com to get the best discount fare. The allotted number of discount fare seats can sell out fast. The standard 2nd class fare ranges from 98 to 118 euro. The best Prem's fare is 22 euro.

To keep the site in English and to avoid being bumped to the Rail Europe site which doesn't offer discount fares, choose Great Britain as your country of residence.

Steve,

On that particular route, my preference would definitely be travel via TGV rather than by budget airline. I suspect that might actually be faster than a flight, and will certainly be more relaxing and less stressful.

With air travel you'll have to allow for travel to & from the airport (if you're using Beauvais, the trip from Paris will be somewhat longer), check-in, security and waiting times.

The times might be a bit different in March, but one example is a train departing Gare du Lyon at 07:46, arriving Nice Ville at 13:17 (time 5H:31M, no changes, reservations compulsory).

Happy travels!
