Easter Eggs and More! Where to find them?

I do this every year, but since it is difficult to search on this forum and because many people don't even know about the Easter Egg markets, here are a few of them, plus some other Spring events in the Rhine Main area, like Fasching parades. * Frankfurt Fasching Parade, 6 March, beginning at 13:11 downtown Frankfurt * Mainz Fasching Parade, 7 March in Mainz * Klaa Paris Fasching Parade, 8 March in Frankfurt Heddernheim * Teddybear World, 12-13 March, Wiesbaden Rhine Main Halls * 5th River Main Quilt Festival, 11-13 March Aschaffenburg * Easter Egg Market, 19-20 March, in Kloster Seligenstadt * International Easter Egg Market, 19-20 March, Eltville Basilica, Eberbach Monastery * Orchid Show, Frankfurt Palmengarten, 1-10 April * Historical Easter Market, Castle Ronneburg, Ronneburg, 9-10 April &; 16-17 April * Seligenstadt Spring Market, Seligenstadt, 9-10 April * Azelea Show, Frankfurt Palmengarten, 14 April-1 May * Spring Dippemess, Frankfurt, 15 April - 8 May (closed Good Friday) * Witches Market, Idstein, 16-17 April * Medieval May Market, Castle Ronneburg, 30 April-1 May For even more festivals in Germany, check out this website, listed by land and by the kind of festival. It is in German, unfortunately, but you can at least get ideas, locations and dates. Great for those smaller town events. http://www.ostern-in-deutschland.de/hessen.html

Much appreciated, thanks Jo. I wonder if this list will lure any of the Rickniks away from Rothenburg, Bacherach, Reutte et al. ? Probably not...

Jo - this is great! It's a question I never would even have known I needed to ask! Great information - many thanks! I am clipping and saving.

Tom - I doubt it. Rick must first feature them on his weekend public radio show, then film an excursion led by a comely local for his TV show. And then label them "back doors" in his annual guidebook. But in the meantime, Jo's advice is of great value to independent travelers!

Like Kira, you met a need I didn't know I had! Unfortunately, we won't arrive in Germany until 11 May, so will miss all of these interesting-looking opportunities this year. However, I too will be clipping & saving for future reference. Thanks, Jo!
