I will be in Salzburg for Easter and was wondering if anyone knows of any celebrations/festivals/etc. during that time. The only thing I have been able to find online so far during that time is a music series at night. Thanks!

Go to the Easter Service in the Cathedral. This is the same huge and beautiful cathedral where Mozart played the organ. The choir and full orchestra are fantastic, and comprise most of the service. This was the hi-lite of our Spring skiing trip to Austria. Our landlords reccomended it. They told us to get there early, and to bundle up. They told us that you do not have to be a member of the Church or congregation; just go! And...this cathedral is so cold that they have heated pews, but the concert more than made up for the chilly temps.
