Still planning and trying to get the most out of my time in germany. I plan to pick up a car at the Koblenz train station and drive to Baden Baden. I would like to stop in Worms, Deidesheim and Spinelli barracks (out side of Mannheim). Suggestions? helpful hints? It appears that I can get a Sixt auto for a day and a half for about $60.00.

Any particular reason you would pick Deidesheim and not Bad Dürkheim or Neustadt an der Weinstraße? And if you want an old historic town with a magnificent cathedral, I would go with Speyer over Worms. Were you once stationed in Mannheim, hence the desire to visit Spinelli Barracks? I'm not 100% positive, but I think it's about to close for good, if it hasn't already. As far as I know, the entire Mannheim garrison appears to be completely shut down except for maybe Coleman Barracks.
