Driving in Spain

We are planning a trip to Spain in Feb/Mar 2009 and will use trains for most of the trip, driving for only a few days. When we leave Granada, we plan to pick up a car and drive to Ronda to stay for 3 days. One of these days we will drive down to Gibralter for a day trip, then return to Ronda and later drive to Sevilla to drop the car. Is there anything we should know or any problems we might encounter that we should be aware of? It looks simple enough on the map ......
Thanks. Any tips or advice is appreciated!

A couple of observations. Granada-Ronda-Sevilla is a very nice drive. From Granada-Ronda, you will be on flat land most of the way if you stick to the suggested routes. Or you can get off at Antequera and head thru the mountains...a gorgeous route, but very twisty roads, so it'll take a fair bit longer. Same with about 2/3 of your journey Ronda-Gibraltar. That distance is only about 60 miles, but plan on it taking about 90 minutes to 2 hours. And don't take your car into Gibraltar...narrow streets, lotsa traffic, and very few places to park. If you go to maps.google.com and copy and paste the following geographic coordinates (36.158277,-5.348727) then turn on the satellite view, you'll be at the entrance to a parking garage that's just a short walk from the border. Take the bus on Gibraltar, as Rick suggests. And when you read the warnings about the Barbary Apes jumping on your head, and snatching things...believe them! :)
