Hi we are a family of 4 - with 2 adults and 2 kids (7 and 10 years). We are taking a driving holiday through Austria - Salzburg, Vienna, Innsbruck, Fussen and would like some suggestions on our proposed iterinary. routes, sight seeing options.
Day 1 - Basel, Switzerland to Salzburg
Day 2-3-4 - Salzburg (do Hallstatt one of the days), city/museums other days.
Day 5 - Salzburg to Vienna - enroute to Vienna - do scenic drives around Maria Taferi, Melk, Krems
Day 6-7 Vienna - Palace, concerts, other places to see ?day trip options? anything to see/do if we do a drive over day trip into Slovakia?
Day 8 Vienna to Innsbruck - route options ?
Day 9 Innsbruck - places to see ? shall we stay in town or outside, although we would have done the town bits in Vienna and Salzburg.
Day 10 Innsbruck to Fussen - visit the castles, stay overnight in Fussen ? Hotel recommendations?
Day 11 Fussen to Swiss.
