We are travelling on Sat. of Feb. half term - busy ski weekend. The Route takes us via Stuttgart and Munich, we should be at Munich say 10.30am. Has anyone experience of the traffic conditions on a day like this. thank you kindly. Lorraine

Saturday is not as bad as Friday afternoon. A8 Stuttgart Munich is always packed so you might want to consider alternative routes depending on traffic advisory (AFN offer radio traffic updates in English). You can also go via Koblenz, Frankfurt, Würburg and Nuremberg OR on your other route at Walldorf stay on A6 and continue towards Nuremberg and at Crailsheim take A7 down to Ulm and then A8 to Munich... Many options. You'll need to make it dependable on the traffic situation...
