I never know if I can trust google maps for accurate timetables for driving. Does anyone know how long it would take to drive from Erfurt to Frankfurt Airport?

You can get estimates of driving times in Europe at viamichelin.com, and I've found it to be fairly accurate.

ViaMichelin says 2h35m. The Bahn shows a direct ICE connection in 2h40m +/-. If you are going in on the same day as flying, I would use the train as I think there would be a better chance of getting there on time.
