Any recommendations besides the villages Rick visits on his tv show (already been to those)?

We spent part of a day in Mulhouse, south of Colmar. We both went to an auto museum and my wife went to a textile museum. Both were very interesting.

Have you been to Eguisheim? I'm not sure if Rick visits there on his show, because he does mention it briefly in his France book. It's less than a 10 minute drive from Colmar and is a gorgeous medieval wine village--the TI has a good audio tour you can rent, there are wineries all over, and good cycling as well. The place is so small that you can easily get a great feel for it in a day (but many businesses, including the TI, close a few hrs for lunch). The tourist office runs an excellent website as well if you do a Google search.
