We will be arriving in Madrid and flying directly to Granada. We will spend a couple nights, then rent a car to drive to Estepona for 3 days in Andalusia. We already have an apartment in Estepona for three nights. We are then returning to Madrid. Our question . . . is it worth driving to an airport, waiting for our flight, then flying from Granada or Malaga to Madrid or would it be as easy (and maybe almost as fast considering airport wait times) to just drive from Estepona to Madrid? Toss a coin on what's faster. It's less than a seven hour drive. Using a car you already have will be cheaper than buying tickets. If you drive, you can make a day of it and stop at either Ciudad Real or Toledo for a few hours, but not both, I'd go fro CR, since you might not pass that way again; Toledo's always real close.
