I' m actually trying to get to Plum Village near Thenac for a Day of mindfulness . on a particular day. We will have a car and will be in Arles the day before . I know I can't speed. " France This Way" says... 4 hours, 7 minutes.." how about a reality check on this. 372 KM..233 miles. I am thinking we can leave Arles around 3 PM, then drive , get to Marmande by 8 pm a reasonable goal ? ( I know we will be missing a lot of beautiful things, we'll get them next time,) thanks so very much.

Viamichelin.com, which I have found pretty accurate for driving in France shows a time of 4hr 45min and I don't think that includes pit stops (dinner/potty breaks) so I think it will probably take you a bit more than that and you may need to leave Arles earlier if you want to arrive by 8:00pm. I did a lot of driving in France last summer and it always took me quite a bit longer than the stated time because I tend to have to stop quite often. You may be able to zip right on through.
