Renting a home inDordogne after a stay in Paris. Wonder what the drive is like from Paris to Dordogne? Is it worth driving or should I just hop on a train and pick up a car when I arrive in Dordogne?

The train would be a far better option (IMHO), especially if the city you're going to has TGV service. Which town in the Dordogne are you travelling to? I was through that area last year - it's great!

You can take the train from Paris to Brive and pick up a rental car there. We were in the Dordogne area two years ago and loved it--easy driving.
