Dresden, stop enroute 6 hours enough?

I will be taking the train from Berlin to Prague. I would like to stop enroute in Dresden. Is the train station at Dresden right in town? Is six hours between trains enough time? I know that will leave me with about 4 and a half hours in the city, since I'd have to get off the first train, leave my luggage at the station and then return to the station, collect my luggage and be ready for the train to Prague. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

So, is it better to add more time (not sure if this is possible it would depend on the train schedule, or skip Dresden completely?

If you figure out where you want to go, here is a map of the transit lines in Dresden. If you just want to go to the Altstadt, there are streetcars from the Hauptbahnhof, but it is so close you can walk in about 15 min.

And here is the homepage for the Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe (DVB), the transit district for Dresden.

Follow this link for the Dresden Hbf Bahnhofsplan. Dresden has a two level Bahnhof. Through trains use the upper level (Obergeschoss). Lockers are in the Erdgeschoss (ground floor), near the bottom of the plan, near Ausgang (exit) 2 & 3, Wiener Platz/Prager Straße. A left luggage room (Gepäck-aufbewahrung) is in the corridor between the exits.
