Does Gare du Nord have a hotel reservation center?

We'll be arriving from London at Gare du Nord train Station (at least that's what we've read). Since we are going on some sort of backpacking trip (but no backpack, suitcases as usual), we want to know if there is a reservation center where we can go and ask for a hotel. And also, if they have that service, do they do all the booking for us? Any information in this will be very helpful. This is our first trip to Europe. Thanks!!!

Unlike the UK where the TI offers bookings the system here is a bit different.

Further - it is not recommended to attempt and arrival in Paris without a reservation especially in the summer season.

There are many suggestions on the site here as well as within the RS books etc for how to locate hotels.

Veronica, are you taking the Eurostar??
When we arrived from London, there were kiosks all around the station. Unfortunately I did not pay attention if there's a reservation centre.

I would suggest finding a possible one first, just in case the station cannot secure a room for you.

How long do you plan on staying in Paris?? Did you want a hotel, hostal, or apartment?

Michelle. I think we'll be arriving on the Eurostar, by the Channel. We're going to buy a Eurail Global Pass but I think it doesn't include the train trip from London to Paris.
We are planning to stay en Paris for 2 nights. We'll be arriving around noon, so there we'll have the whole afternoon for sightseeing and maybe visit the Louvre. Next day we'll be going to Notre Dame, Luxembourg Gardens, maybe a walking tour, Montmartre and maybe any other place we got suggested out there. then the next day, we are thinking on going to Versailles but we are not really sure if it's a good idea, being that it's just our first trip and there are so many places to visit in Paris. Then on the afternoon of Day 3 we'll be departing to Amsterdam.
Any suggestions??? Do you think I'm doing fine? About the hotels, I'll be making a research to make reservations in advance.

October and November are "really" low season because of the weather.

September will be better than the summer in terms of crowds. "Cold" well - it will not necessarily be the cold November weather. However, it again this year it has been an odd summer. Right now it is 66 degrees in Paris - cloudy and a bit humid. Not a typical summer day. Plan for odd weather in terms of your packing and all will be fine.
