Hi- I was watching the RS episode of his trip to Burgundy. He was on a barge and was talking about how it is a great alternative. Does anyone know what company that was or some inexpensive barge companies in France. Thanks, Kim

Gosh every one I priced was expensive!!!
So I drove there this summer it was great. You can cycle easily along the river as an option.

I would e-mail the Rick Steves staff and ask them. They'd be able to give you the name of the company. I saw that episode and it looked like fun!

I priced it a couple of years ago and got the same result, I didn't find what I considered an affordable choice.
