Do you know of a child-friendly pension/hotel in Lisbon?

My wife and I will be spending a week or so in Lisbon with our 4 and 6-year-old girls. Any suggestions as to a family-style place to stay for around 75 euros a night????

David, rent an apt! It will be perfect for a family.

Any time that we are going to stay in any one location for 5 days or more, we always rent an apt.

That is what four of us did a couple of XMass ago in Lisbon. Our apt (VRBO # 143294) was on the ground floor of an apt complex, it was a 2 bed, 2 bath apt, a short walk to the metro and busses, and a short walk to one of the largest malls in Portugal.(which had a fantastic grocery store, and lots of mall restaurants for kids.)

The owner was awesome; calling us to check to make sure everything was OK, and making a special delivery of a Portugese XMass cake.

It was $325EU for five nites. The only thing that we did not like about the place was the fact that you had to lock and close all of the window closures when you were not there.

It had parking out front, with easy access to the freeway.

We just got back from Paris last week, and we did the same thing there.

We always rent from either VRBO.com or Homelidays.com, and have had very good luck finding decent digs. But it is just like anything else; do your research; and caveat emptor applies.

I agree, an apartment woudl be ideal for a family. You can save money by eating in, and you can even save on packing space if your apartment has a washer/ dryer.

In Paris we rented an apartment, and it cost about 111 euros a night. It was real nice to go to the kitchen and get a chilled bottle of juice, or a piece of fresh fruit after a long day of sightseeing.
