I am a US citizen and will be in France for two months. Do I need anything special in order to stay that long?
Thanks.

My understanding is that besides your obvious need for a passport, you won't need anything else. I'm sure someone will be along to confirm. My daughter had to obtain a VISA for being in France for a full school year (9 months), but the kids that were there for just a semester (3 mo. or less) did not need one.
You are okay for two months without a Visa. For complete information, search for French Consulate on the web for entry requirements.
Greetings.
No. US citizens can stay within the Schengen Union for up to 3 months without a visa.
You should, however, be prepared to show a ticket for your trip home and also proof of enough funds to pay for food/housing/medical expenses since it's illegal to work without a work permit. Thus, you can be refused entrance to the EU if they think you don't have enough $$, and thus are intending to work illegally.

Thanks all. This is very helpful.
