Can anyone tell me how long of a drive (via car) it is to Mont St Michel from Bayeux? We were going to spend 3 nights in Bayeux and take a day trip to Mt St Michel...BUT maybe is it better to spend 2 days there and spend one night near Mt St Michel, then head back to Paris for four days? If so, what is the distance directly from Mt St Michel to Paris? Any help is appreciated!

We stayed in a B&B in Villers Bocage (about 10 miles south of Bayaeux?) and I seem to remember it being a couple of hours to drive to Mont St. Michel. Easy drive on the highway.
We tried to see several D-Day sites on the return drive but once off the highway it took longer than expected to go from one site to another and by the time we reached the US Cemetery it was closed.
We spent 2 nights in Normandy and it was not enough time to see everything we wanted.
Hope to return someday!
