Using the German Rail website, you will find the most expensive trains, ICEs, do the trip in 2h38m, direct, for about €57 pP. By purchasing ahead you can get a date and train specific, non-refundable fare for the same trains as low as €19.
For a little less, €41, you can do the trip, without ICEs, in 4 hours with 3 or 4 changes of trains.
