Hi, My husband and I will be staying at Disneyland Paris for 7 days. Five of these days will be spent visiting various areas of Paris with one trip to Versailles. Since we will be making round trips to Disneyland every day, would we be better off to purchase a daily mobilis card zones 1-5 or a visite card zones 1-5. We are not planing to use the discounts for the visite unless it provides a discount to Disneyland parks (1 day - 2 parks). I thought I read that it does provide a 20% discount but our Disneyland Hotel indicates that the site is not an official site and they cannot guarantee the ticket validity. Any help will be appreciated. We plan to do a lot of walking on our day trips into Paris. By the way, only staying at Disneyland because we have the Disney Vacation Club - Thank you
What works best for you is going to depend on a few factors. What days will you be there? The Navigo Decouverte works from Monday - Sunday and would be a much better value than purchasing daily Mobilis cards if your days match up. The Paris Visite is more expensive, but gives you options to/from the airports that you don't get the with Mobilis or even Navigo. It also does offer a 20% discount on certain Disneyland tickets, but there are discount tickets available through other sources as well. If you are only going a few days to/from Paris, and not on consecutive days, the daily Mobilis might end up costing the least.
Thank you for your quick response. Yes, I did leave out a few details I guess. We will be visiting Paris neighborhoods Saturday thru Wednesday so I don't think the other pass you mentioned would apply. We will be arrving into Paris on Friday evening 8/30 via Gare de Lyon from Switzerland and will be taking a train directly to our hotel at Disneyland. We will be leaving Disney to go to airport (CDG) for home on Friday, Sept. 6th. I believe that for both of these one way trips (from Gare de Lyon and from Disney to CDG) will be separate tickets and not part of a pass. Our focus for this trip is to spend time strolling through the Paris neighborhoods soaking up the feel of the city, spending time in the parks and cafe's and visiting outdoor markets for picnic lunches. Thursday, 9/5 will be our 1 day/2 parks at Disney. We are not huge museum buffs. We have several fine museums at home. We plan to visit a few of them on the first Sunday (free entry day) just to see a few of the more famous pieces of art. We have been to the Louvre once before when we had 1 day in Paris last year. If the mobilis pass would be cheaper and provide us with the transportation to and from Disney and the one day trip to and from Versailles, maybe that is a better option. Zones 1-5. If so, can we purchase them each day at the Disney train station when we arrive each morning? We plan to take a train each day around 7 AM and even earlier if possible for the day we go to Versailles. Forgive any misspellings of names and locations. Thank you.
According to the RATP (official Paris transportation) site, buying a Paris Visite pass does provide a 20% discount on the Disneyland Paris 1 day/2 parks pass.
