Direction Help on Metro in Paris

Hi, My wife and I are going to Paris for the first time! We wanted to ask for help with the Metro. We're from NY, so we are ok with taking public transportation. These are the directions we need:
1. Airport (CDG) to L'ecole militaire metro stop (we're staying at Hotel de Turenne)
2. L'ecole militaire to Roland Garros (French Open).

Thank you for your help!

You might want to try the interactive map here, it has a route planner that's pretty easy to use IMO. Looks like the RER and 2 metro lines to get from the airport to your hotel. Hope this helps!

For detailed instructions, including photos, on taking the RER B from CDG to central Paris and connecting to the Metro and/or other RER lines, see the Paris by Train site.

A single ticket from CDG to anywhere in central Paris costs €8.50.

  1. Take the RER B to Gare du Nord. Transfer to Metro line 4 and take it to Strasbourg--Saint-Denis. Transfer to Metro line 8 and take it to Ecole Militaire.

  2. Take Metro line 8 from Ecole Militaire to La Motte-Piquet Grenelle. Transfer to Metro line 10 and take it to Porte d'Auteuil.

After negotiating the subway in NYC, the Paris metro should be a piece of cake! I would tackle their metro anytime over NYC's for sure. Bon voyage!

Thanks everyone. Another question, once I get off at Porte d'Auteuil for Roland Garros, is the stadium right there, or is it a far walk?

You're welcome!

According to the Journey Planner on the RATP site, it's a nine-minute walk from Porte d'Auteuil to Roland-Garros.
