We are travelling by train from Avignon to Bayeux, Normandy in one day. Our current plan is to take the TGV from Avignon to Paris and then go by cab from the Gare du Lyon to Gare St Lazare to catch a train to Bayeux (I understand we may need to change in Caen). As we will be travelling with all of our luggage, I am wondering if there is a simpler way we might change trains. Any suggestions appreciated!
You can go directly by metro on line 14 between the two train stations. According to the Paris transport website, it takes 14 minutes once you are in the metro car.
RER-A from Gare de Lyon two stops westwards (towards Poissy, Cergy-le-Haut or St-Germain-en-Lays) to Auber which is connected.
Bets has given you the better route. Less walking. If you pack light, luggage won't be an issue.
