Hey guys, just trying to find some info on Dijon's bus routes. I'm renting a couple bikes in Dijon and heading south, but would like to get away from the city to begin our journey. A bus ride to Chenove, Marsannay, or Couchey would be great. I've found bus info from hotels in those areas, with bus directions from Dijon..but that is just giving me numbers..don't know where they leave from, etc. A second question would be: Do the buses have a place for bikes!?
And as always, the information you all provide is so very appreciated. You guys really are a blessing.
Bonjour Wes. You'll find the timetable of Transco buses here for bus 44 that goes from Dijon station to Beaune http://www.mobigo-bourgogne.eu/partenaires/plans/horaires-lr44-0811.pdf It takes about 15min to go to Couchey (1h20 to Beaune)
The general timetable : http://www.cotedor.fr/jahia/Jahia/pid/473
You can also take Divia transport(Dijon local buses) Liane 2(yellow) and 4(red) will take you to Chenove and Marsannay

I don't think you can take your bike with you (except on Sunday on Transco line 47 and 50 for 9€ for the whole day, unlimited journeys. "Le dimanche, on peut opter pour le pass Vélo qui permet sur les lignes de bus Transco 47 et 50 de voyager avec son vélo sans limite durant une journée (9 €)".
Dijon is not far from Chenove and Marsannay which are suburbs. If you decide to ride there don't take the main road (rue Jean Jaures) which is boring. Take parallel streets.
To plan your trip you will find more links on my useful link page http://www.myhomeindijon.com/useful_links.htm
One of my American guests spend 12 days in Dijon and rode everyday without taking a bus. He made a few videos of his trips (riding and shooting!)you may check his link here http://www.myhomeindijon.com/guest_book_2007.htm (see Don Hess from Oakland late September 2007)
Hope this helps :-)
Have fun!
