I've booked tickets but unable to print the tickets. I received the email confirmation but as I click the link, it's all in German. I can't find the link to print the tickets.
there should be a "ENG" or british flag somewhere on the page - check the top right or top left...
also - just incase - try copy/paste into Google Translator page !
Was there an attachment to this mail? The tickets are supposted to be sent to you as pdf files attached to an email.
Perhaps there is another email coming. The email you already got might be to tell you how to access a website to get another pdf copy if something happens to the one you got.
I've just manage to get the tickets printed. Instead of 'My bookings/tickets' in German, it was called 'My Train' in German. Took me some time to get it printed.
Thanks anyway.
I am assuming you are trying to print out tickets you booked via Deutsche Bahn using the website "www.bahn.de". You need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. Below are instructions that take you to a page that has extensive explanations in English about how to print out your ticket online:
- go to 'www.bahn.de'
- on the first screen, click on "Internat. Guests" (on the red bar at the top of the screen)
- on the next screen, click on "Online Tickets" (on the first menu on the left).
'Hope this helps.
You sound like the problem is solved, but on the net, do a google search for translators and you can find free sights that you can copy the e-mail, paste it into a box, and it will then translate from German to English (or french, italian, etc). some will also translate websites.
A good translation site is www.babelfish.altavista.com
Paul,
Yes. The problem has been solved. But I encounter another problem.
I was told the cheapest fare from Salzburg to Munich is by purchasing the Bayern Ticket. However, as I enter this website, it's in German. I've translated it using the web translator.
https://fahrkarten.bahn.de/privatkunde/shop/shopstart.post?GroupId=345&GroupChild=345
But I have a few questions to ask:
How do I purchase the tickets? I've clicked on the "In den Warenkorb" and was led to this page.
There would be 2 person travelling on the Bayern Ticket. We're travelling on the 26/09/07 and returning on the same day. Is this ticket valid for only a day? Can the tickets be printed before hand? I was told it's cheaper by €2 if I didn't go to the DB counter.
Is it possible if you lead me through the process step-by-step? Thanks.
The Bayern-tickets are 2 euros cheaper from the ticket automat. It is usually simplest just to buy them there. Is there a reason that you can not?
Gary Mc, u mention ticket automat, do you mean from the ticket counter itself?
By ticket automat I meant ticket machines. In Bavaria (Bayern) the Bayern-Ticket is usually a clearly identified choice on the ticket machines. Buying at the machine is 2 euros less expensive, and there seldom seems to be a waiting line.
