We will be returning to Madrid's Atocha from Seville on the AVE, arriving 16:00. Our plans are to store our bags and spend a few hours in the city before heading out to our hotel near the airport (early flights out). Rick notes the yellow Expres Aeropuerto bus back to airport "leaving from Atocha near the taxi stand on the cercanias side." Does anyone know how often the bus comes by? Thanks.
Check the web site for the Express Aeropuerto and the Barajas Airport for a definite answer, or www.madridman.com...he has a posting on it from a while back....My experience is that it departs about every 30 minutes, and takes about 30 minute from Atocha to the airport. The stop for the Aeropuerto is at the round building across the drive to the front door of the Atocha station.
THANKS HJ!
It actually runs every twenty minutes. I took it from the Cibeles stop last Saturday, and it gets there at the hour, :20 after, and :50 after. Very easy and pleasant trip. It only makes four stops - Atocha, Cibeles, and two terminals at the airport.
Excellent! Thank you, Nancy. (I love this site!)
