I am wondering if anyone has gone to Deauville, France? What did you think? Is this a good day/overnight trip? Once there, do you need a car to get around?
We used to go there just to take the kids to the beach..wonderful sand..and for us a good day trip..But..unless you want to go to the horse races or the American Film Festival or just happen to be in the area or want to visit Tante Suzanne...i wouldn't use travel time...What made you ask about Deauville?..Just curious..
Agree with Regina--Deauville does not have much to offer. It is very upscale and has many fancy boutiques,etc. Can't imagine staying overnight. A town we found interesting was Etretat with chalk cliffs like those on the opposite side of the English Channel.
