DB-Bahn From Munich to Interlaken

At the end of this month I along with 3 friends will be traveling from Munich to Interlaken. We will be taking the DB-Bahn from Hauptbahnhof to Interlaken Ost. I wanted to know if we could buy our train tickets that day or if it would be better to buy them in advance.

I doubt that you would have trouble finding an available ticket at the counter in Munich, but you'll pay full price. If you book in advance on the German Rail (Bahn) website you can get better prices. Those discounted "Savings" fares are date and train specific and only partiallly refundable before the day of travel so you have to be able to commit. A limited number of those tickets come on sale 92 days in advance starting at €39. As the lowest priced tickets sell out, the price goes up. For Sept 28, I found tickets still for sale at €59-69. Those tickets are for travel all the way to Interlaken Ost via Zuerich.
