I was wondering if anyone has used Aziz Benami for a personal tour of Tangiers with the ferry tickets included.
If so, do you remember if he asked you for your passport numbers in advance in order to book the ferry and confirm the resevation.
Before I give him our information I just wanted to see if anyone can verify this.
I know that Rick Steves in his book does recommend this person for a tour.

I haven't dealth with him, but I do know that the FRS ferry service says it requires a passport or national ID card number to purchase tickets....possibly because it's a journey outside the E-U?
You should consider calling the Rick Steves travel office and asking them. In my experience, all of Rick's published recommendations are with trustworthy people, but you can confirm this detail with a quick call.
There is a ferry office just off the car park behind the LIDL shop in Algeciras. (You can't miss it.) In my experience, this is the cheapest place to buy tickets to Tangier. You can also buy tours there.

We used Aziz in April 2008 for our day trip/tour to Tangier. I do not recall him asking for our passport numbers. He purchased the tickets from Tarifa to Tangier on the ferry and we paid for these plus our tour once we arrived in Tangier. We had a wonderful tour and would highly recommend him. He offered two tours - one a half day walking tour, but we chose a full day tour and would suggest that you take this one as you will see so much more. Part of it is driving through the city and along the coast, then a walking tour through the city. We also stopped for lunch at a good restaurant (our cost), but well worth it. He is very personable, professional and you end up having a great day.
