Going to Paris for the day durring my London trip and was wondering what are the key sites or must sees since I will have a limited time there. Thanks.
Even though you are only going to Paris for one day, a copy of Rick's "Paris 2010" guidebook would be worth more than the price! The Louvre, Notre Dame, St Chapelle, a cafe....are some of the first sights I'd recommend!
It’s been some time since I referenced it, but I seem to recall that Rick used to have a one-day suggested itinerary for a Paris daytrip in his London guidebook. Must sees for sure include the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Champs-Élysées (and Arc de Triomphe), and the Louvre. If you have time, a Seine River cruise would be nice. You should also explore a neighborhood; perhaps rue Cler (although many here think it too touristy) or the Latin Quarter and the Sorbonne.
Stephanie, the hop-on/hop-off tour bus stops right in front of the Gare du Nord, the Eurostar station. If you read a guide book or do research on line to help you decide what sites you want to see, the tour bus is bound to stop at or near most of them.
