Has anyone gone to Lisieux from Paris? would you recommend it?

Yes, and a visit to the Cathedral is well worth the trip. Just a short train ride from St. Lazare station.

Only worth it if you are seriously interested in St Thérèse. There's not much there apart from the cathedral. If you're going by car you could also visit where she was born and grew up before moving to Lisieux - her family home at Alençon is open to the public.
