I've just learned that my husband will be taking a business trip to France this fall and I will join him in Paris for a week following his week of meetings. I'm just getting my ideas together - I'd love to visit a French winery as a day trip. (We did a Chianti winery tour from Florence last summer and loved it!) Any suggestions?

Step 1. Look at a map of French wine regions. Step 2. Look at the same map to see where Paris is. Step 3. Figure out if you want to travel that far and back in one day.

If you like champagne, you could look into a day trip to either Epernay (1hr 15 mins from Paris) or Reims (50 mins from Paris) for a visit to their champagne houses.

Champagne is about the only realistic possibility. You could visit one or 2 of the big houses in Reims or Epernay.
