What's the easiest/best/cheapest way to travel from Munich to Nuremburg on an August weekday? Want to spend maximum time Nuremburg, eat dinner there, return to Munich. We'll be staying in center of Munich, near Rosenheimer Platz. Thanks for any help you can give us!

The first thing you need to do is learn to use the German Rail query page. This will allow you to get schedules for anywhere in Europe, and schedules and most fares in Germany.
For travel to Nürnberg, unless you are in a tremendous hurry to get there, use a Bayern-Ticket. You should be able to buy one from a ticket automat in the U-Bahn station at Rosenheimerplatz. It will cost you €27 and cover all of your travel (for up to five people) from Rosenheimerplatz by S-Bahn to the Hauptbahnhof and from there by regional train to Nürnberg.
If you put in Meunchen Rosenheimerplatz and Nuernberg you should find all the schedules you need.
