I have one day to do a day trip in the Lake Como area. I will just have gotten back from Lugano. What would you advise to do. Varenna is supposed to be nice? I go back to Milan the same day. thanks Stew

Stew, Varenna is an easy day trip from Milan (I've done that). I'd suggest leaving early and returning to Milan about 22:00. That way you'll have an opportunity to enjoy a fine dinner overlooking the lake. You might consider Albergo Olivedo as Laura's Ravioli is fantastic (small portions but it's good). Cheers!
