We are heading to Spain tomorrow and will be in Madrid in a few weeks. We have one day designated for a day trip from Madrid. I've heard good things about both Toledo and Segovia and we are torn between the two. Any thoughts here? Anything particular to recommend one over the other?
I've been to both and also would be torn between the two. If you are into art (especially El Greco) or swords, then Toledo, otherwise it's a tossup. If you are going to be there for weeks, how come you can't see both?
If you can only do one, Toledo gets my vote. Have a wonderful trip!
Toledo! Segovia is a nice town for sure and the aquaduct is stunning. But Toledo has a mix of all three major Spanish cultures and religions, it's quiant and charming, stunning vistas, more restaurant options and great art.
