Is it possible to train from Nyon to Montreaux and take the Golden Pass Train to "somewhere in the Alps" and back to Nyon in one day? Am I crazy? Second ? I could possibly train from Montreaux to Interlaken Ost, stay over night, Lauterbrunnen area for an afternoon and then onto a Basel for my cruise the next day?
Crazy still? Hotels near Ost? I have 36 hours to cross the Alps off my bucket list:) Any advice would be nice.

Second is possible but a better answer is possible after understanding your situation. What time could you leave Montreux? What time do you need to be aboard in Basel? Which month of the year are speaking about?
