Dali in Spain. House or Museum (or both)

We will be in Barcelona for about 5 days and I would love to see any an all Dali sight. I am not sure if we could do the museum and the house in the same day. It seems that both places are about 1-2 hours outside of Barcelona and about 1 hour between the sights, am I correct? I also don't want to have to make 2 seperate day trips to the same place or stay the night in one of the places since we are flying into out of the airport. (Arriving from USA, leaving to go to Nice to visit family). Also, I did not find anything offering some type of package to both places with transportation, I could really use some help and insight.

I picked the museum in Figueres and enjoyed it a great deal. The house seemed more difficult to get to by public transport.

Have visited both...I enjoyed the house..its location only a few steps from the beach is fantastic. Limited number of people allowed in at one time. It is difficult to get to -- -at the 'end of a long mountain road' so to speak. They are far apart, an hour or so. Possible to do both in the same trip if you start early. Of the two, I would choose the house. Another site in the area is Cape de Rouge - fantastic garden estate directly on the coast!
