I'd like to visit the Memorial on a Monday, but the Rick Steve's guide says it is closed on Monday. The Memorial's website says the Memorial site is open daily 9-5. Although the archive and library are only open by appointment Tues. thru Fri. Does anyone know whether the Memorial is open on Mondays? Is the RS guide wrong? Thanks, Kevin

The RS guide is probably out-of-date. The Dachau website now says that they are "open daily". I remember it being changed recently. I'd trust the website.

The 2013 book says open Daily. Other than that, I would usually trust a website over a guide book any time, when you think about the time lag between publishing and editing the book.

RS himself says it's important to check opening times and such, since they can change since his book is printed. I'll add that I always make sure to buy the latest edition, then check his online updates.
