Hello, On Dachau's website it lists the hours open as 9:00-5:00. Does anyone have experience getting there in the late afternoon? Does is really close at 5:00, or will they not let anyone into the camp after five? Thanks Dyan

I think when they write that it closes at 1700, that they probably mean it and it isn't just a suggestion. It probably also means they stop letting people come in after a certain time, so that everyone is out by 17:00, not that this is the latest you can enter. Otherwise, if you got there at 16:50, and wanted to walk around for 2-3 hours, the employees wouldn't be able to leave until 19:30-20:00.
