Cycling by the Rhine

We are considering staying in St. Goar for a week. We want to tour the river, and cycling along it. Tips for cycling would be great! Flat terrian is nice. I would guess bike rentals are available as would be routes, paths to ride on?

There's a paved bike trail that runs along most of the west bank of the Mittelrhein. The trail is mostly flat.
