Is there a customs check at Brussels train station- the train is coming from London
Do you mean customs (what you bring in ) or immigration (who you bring in)? You will pass through immigration/passport control in London - which is why you MUST arrive minimum of 30 minutes prior to departure. Once in Brussels, there is no further passport control. I can't remember if there is a customs check, but if there is, it is only a doorway you pass through marked "Nothing to declare."
Douglas Thanks-I ment immigration-now I know why the 30 minutes prior to departure at St. Pancras Station.
Shelley, The previous reply was correct. You'll pass through Passport control staffed by French officers after you go through the airport-style security and before you're allowed into the departure area. You'll arrive at Brussels Midi station and it's a good idea to exit fairly quickly. As it's a "secured area", the staff seem to try and get passengers out of there as quickly as possible. Depending on your ultimate destination, you'll likely have to take the Metro to Brussels Central or other stations. Happy travels!
